Beta & ARC Reader Agreement

Thank you for being a Beta or ARC reader! I’m grateful for your time, thoughts, and care as I share this story with you.

This agreement simply explains how the manuscript can be used and how Scott K Good and Beta and ARC Readers will respect each other’s work and privacy.

1. The Manuscript

The manuscript (including drafts, excerpts, and related materials) is an unpublished, copyrighted work. It is being shared with you in confidence for personal reading and feedback or reviews only.

Please do not:

Share, distribute, copy, upload, or repost the manuscript
Use it for AI training, analysis, or derivative works

without my explicit written permission.

Beta Readers should also refrain from quoting or using excerpts publicly (including social media or reviews), as the early draft is not the final version.

ARC Readers can feel free to quote and use excerpts according to U.S. copyright law.

2. Your Feedback - Beta Readers Only

Your thoughts, reactions, and suggestions are incredibly valuable and may be used to revise or improve the manuscript. Feedback is given voluntarily and does not create any obligation for credit or compensation unless agreed to in writing.

I may collect your name, email address, and any feedback you choose to share. This information will be used only to communicate with you about this manuscript or related updates. It will never be sold or shared for marketing purposes.

3. Your Information

Please treat the manuscript as private. While reasonable steps are taken to protect digital files, all materials are accessed at your own discretion.

4. Confidentiality & Digital Use

If at any time you’d prefer not to continue as a Beta or ARC reader, you’re welcome to stop reading and delete the manuscript. You may also request that your information be removed.

5. Opting Out

By downloading the manuscript, you agree to these terms. Most of all, thank you for contributing to my success. Your time and trust truly mean a lot.
